Bokor Mountain Lodge, Things To Do

We can arrange bicycle, motor bike and four wheel drive trips to the top of Bokor Mountain and into the Bokor Mountain Reserve, probably the most famous local attraction. The historic French casino, church and other colonial ruins provide an eerie backdrop for a picnic. If you prefer to trek up the mountain, there are two options - the "testing" and the "less testing," where a bathe in the stunning waterfalls provides a refreshing break. The trek is well worth the effort as the views from the top are spectacular, reaching all the way from Vietnam to the southern reaches of the Gulf of Thailand on a clear day. Tigers, elephants and other rare local wildlife and birdlife have been sighted recently so keep your eyes peeled!

Another local attraction is to take a cruise up the Prek Kampong Bay River to the local waterfalls on either a speed boat or a more sedate local boat. You can return by riding the rapids on a customized "rapid rider" if you desire. A sunset cruise is a lovely way to relax after a day spent on Bokor Mountain.

Trips can also be arranged to local temples and the extensive limestone caves in the Kampot area.

A trip to Kep, the "French Riviera" of Cambodia is a must. This lovely seaside town is famous for its local seafood, which can be savoured right on the beach.

From Kep, Rabbit Island is an easy boat trip for beautiful beaches on this lovely island.
